Each branch is managed by its own Committee and these are drawn together by an OSA Executive Committee, which generally oversees and encourages the social and welfare activities of the Association.
Members are encouraged to take part in a variety of activities, so that they can join in the fellowship with former colleagues and other like-minded people.

 The British Transport Pensioners' Federation.

The Old Southeronians' Association is affiliated to the British Transport Pensioners' Federation.
Formed in 1948 the B.T.P.F has secured many financial benefits for railway pensioners and their dependants, as well as improvements to travel facilities for retired staff.

The Federation and its sixty local branches are run entirely by volunteers, who are themselves railway pensioners.
But it’s not all meetings and campaigning! – some branches also organise social activities and outings and keep in touch with members in their area.
With its strong membership, the Federation is recognised by both Pension Fund Managers and government bodies as being truly representative of all railway pensioners.
